ABOUT

A modern approach to executive legal counsel.

Arkad Consulting exists to give business leaders the strategic legal perspective they need — without the overhead of a traditional in-house department.

The Meaning of Arkad

Arkad is the central figure in The Richest Man in Babylon, whose journey from humble beginnings to prosperity was guided by wise counsel, discipline, and foresight.

His story reflects our belief that legal counsel should not be confined to resolving disputes, but should guide the entire business organization—strengthening governance, anticipating risks, and protecting long-term value.

At Arkad Consulting, we place legal insight at the heart of every business decision, helping organizations move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Executive Legal Consulting for Companies

Arkad is a Philippine legal practice focused on providing continuing corporate counsel services to companies, boards, founders, executives, and management teams.

The Firm is designed for businesses that require experienced legal support but may not yet need — or may prefer not to maintain — a full internal legal department. Through continuing retainer arrangements, Arkad serves as an external legal resource that management can consult as legal issues arise in the ordinary course of business.

A Different Kind of Legal Practice

Traditional law firms are often structured around transactions, court cases, and individual legal engagements. A company approaches a traditional law firm when a contract must be prepared, a case has been filed, or a specific legal problem requires attention.

Arkad follows a more integrated model.

The Firm integrates into the client’s business, alongside operations, internal processes, commercial relationships, regulatory environment, and decision-making structure. This allows consistent legal guidance to be given within the context in which management must actually act.

Through a continuing retainer, Arkad can function as the company’s corporate counsel — available to review contracts, advise management, support board and corporate actions, address labor concerns, evaluate regulatory exposure, and assist in significant commercial decisions.

This model gives companies access to experienced legal counsel without immediately assuming the full cost and administrative burden of establishing an internal legal department.

Legal Counsel from Inside the Business

Arkad is composed of lawyers and CPA-lawyers with more than two decades of professional experience across law, finance, business, and corporate advisory work.

Arkad consultants’ legal career has been shaped primarily by decades of serving as in-house counsel to companies operating in highly regulated industries. They have advised boards, owners, executives, human resources teams, finance departments, operations personnel, and business units on legal issues that directly affect corporate decisions and day-to-day operations.

This experience has allowed them to sit on both sides of the boardroom table.

As legal counsel, Arkad consultants have advised directors and management on their legal duties, risks, contracts, disputes, regulatory obligations, and strategic decisions. At the same time, their background in accounting, finance, business operations, and entrepreneurship has given them a practical understanding of the commercial pressures under which those decisions are made.

Arkad consultants understand that legal advice cannot be given in a vacuum. A legally conservative position may sometimes be commercially impractical, while a commercially attractive decision may create risks that management has not fully considered.

Arkad was created to bridge that gap.

Its approach is grounded in the belief that effective corporate counsel must understand not only what the law requires, but also how a company operates, how decisions are implemented, how risks affect different business functions, and what management is ultimately trying to achieve.

Built for Long-Term Corporate Relationships

Arkad is intended to build continuing relationships with clients rather than remain a distant service provider contacted only when a document must be signed or a dispute has already escalated.

The Firm’s retainer model allows it to develop a deeper understanding of the client’s organization and provide more consistent, timely, and commercially informed advice.

Over time, this relationship enables Arkad to identify recurring risks, strengthen internal processes, improve contractual protections, support governance, and help management make decisions with greater legal confidence.

The objective is not simply to answer legal questions.

It is to become a trusted external legal resource that understands the business, anticipates its legal needs, and helps protect the company as it grows.
